Sea To Summit Telos TR2 tent 2024

The Telos two-person freestanding tent will radically change your perception of what an ultra-lightweight hiking tent can be.

Sea to Summit engineers set out to design a tent that is easy to set up and equipped with intelligent features. Mission accomplished.

Tension ridge
Tension Ridge poles face upwards, like the dihedral wing of an aircraft, rather than downwards as is often the case with tents. This improves the shape of the tent, providing much more head and shoulder room, higher doors, easier access and more usable space in the vestibule.

Quick-coupling pole feet
Typical of Sea to Summit's commitment to fine-tuning details to make equipment more functional and friction-free, these machined aluminium clips make mounting the rain cover (with the inner tent or with a footprint in an ultralight configuration) quick and easy. And they are much stronger than plastic buckles.

Modular storage / light bar
Each Sea to Summit tent is contained in three storage bags so that the load can be easily distributed. During set-up, two bags turn into tool storage pockets, while the pole bag (with translucent diffuser) becomes a light bar. Add one or two front lamps for soft lighting throughout the tent.

Apex ventilation/ base ventilation
Mounted at the highest point, Apex vents allow warm, moist air to escape and channel fresh air into the tent. The vent can be easily closed from inside the tent and does not require mesh to maintain its shape, greatly improving airflow. The Baseline vent allows you to control humidity in humid conditions by opening or closing the lower part of the door, maintaining the vestibule function and rain protection for your equipment.

Packing
The tent is stored in two waterproof and durable eVent® bags with StretchLoc straps for reliable, flexible assembly and even weight distribution.

Space
The architecture of the Arête de Tension offers a better space-to-weight ratio than any other tent in its category.

Ventilation
An advanced ventilation system improves air circulation and reduces condensation.

Features

  • The Arête de Tension lifts the tent shape upwards, providing more usable head and shoulder space, and creates effectively higher doors for easier entry and additional storage space in the vestibule
  • Lightweight, durable, colour-coded NSL DAC bows, along with quick-connect bow terminals, facilitate installation
  • Built to last and offer superior waterproof performance through the use of high quality materials, including DAC bows, YKK hinges, 7-series aluminium components and a PEU waterproof sheet with sealed seams
  • Hangout mode turns the waterproof sheet into a semi-open shelter. Requires a pair of trekking poles or a special set of poles for 'Hangout' mode
  • FairShare storage system: the tent is stored in 3 bags to distribute the load. Once assembled, the bags turn into pockets for storing equipment
  • Light bar: add a headlamp and attach the storage bag to the tent bows on top for a soft, even light
  • The waterproof cover can be installed first for dry assembly and disassembly
  • Includes 8 Ground Control Light stakes and 4 removable Ground Control lanyards with customised connectors
  • 20D nylon tank floor with a depth of 15 cm has a water resistance of 2500 mm - lightweight, waterproof and durable
  • Ultralight 15D polyester mesh interior for maximum ventilation. Its dark grey colour offers excellent visibility
  • The 15D nylon/polyurethane coated rainproof fabric offers durable waterproof performance.
  • The poles of the Arête de Tension are slanted upwards - not downwards as is common in tents. This increases the shape of the tent, offering much more living space
  • Apex Vent - at the highest part of the tent, this large vent effectively expels warm air to prevent condensation and can be easily zipped up from inside the tent
  • The base vents allow you to control the air flow and effectively manage moisture and condensation in humid conditions without letting rain in
  • The quick foot connector is a beautifully machined aluminium carabiner that easily connects the pole and inner foot and is stronger than plastic buckles that can break
  • To extend the life of your tent floor, we recommend the use of a Sea to Summit mat, sold separately.
