Ortovox has developed the Merino Shield Tec line precisely for these long alpine routes! The extremely abrasion-resistant outer material of the Pala Light Vest for men has passed more than 50,000 rubbing cycles in the Martindale test, which is used to check abrasion resistance. Additional inserts provide maximum protection from rough rocks in particularly exposed areas such as the shoulders, forearms and hips. The four-way stretch fabric ensures full freedom of movement, supported by an athletic cut and pre-shaped elbows. Thanks to its membrane-free construction, the Pala Light Vest for men is particularly breathable and the fine Merino wool on the inside and Merino Mesh inserts in the collar make it even more pleasant to wear. The athletic cut and elastic hems guarantee an optimal fit and maximum freedom of movement when climbing. In the chest pocket there is space for a topographic map, mobile phone, a barrette or other small items that need to be within easy reach during a long day in the mountains. For the sake of the environment, the entire Merino Shield Tec line is completely PFC-free and climate-neutral with CO2 offsetting. With its modern look, the Pala Light Vest for men is able to cope with long climbs on high rock faces.
