La Sportiva Spire GTX shoes 2024
Spire GTX is a new generation shoe for, fast hiking. It adopts solutions that are part of La Sportiva’s mountain DNA combining technologies and concept derived from the Mountain Running and Mountain categories to create a versatile, waterproof and 360° breathable shoe thanks to the new GORE-TEX SURROUND® technology: the exclusive membrane that guarantees 360° breathability thanks to the wider aeration surface that comprises the uppers, footbed and EVA midsole with side ventilation outlets in TPU. The aeration channels visible along the profile of the midsole, are protected by an extremely resistant Nylon mono net, to prevent stones and other impurities from entering the ventilation outlets. The mid cut uppers use the Nano-Cells 2.0™ structure , super breathable cells that work in synergy with the GORE-TEX SURROUND® membrane to provide unprecedented levels of breathability. The lower part of the boot incorporates the Stability control System™, a stabilizing control system that integrates the ventilation outlets with the GORE-TEX SURROUND® technology. The Vibram XS Trek outsole provides excellent grip on hard, soft and muddy terrain. All round breathability and comfort is guaranteed.

Technologies
GORE TEX® SURROUND®
The first all-round breathable and waterproof hiking shoe/boot. With this construction, the opening are positioned at the side of the sole. Moisture and warmth are not only conducted outwards via the upper of the shoe, but also downwards through the Gore Tex® laminate into a ventilation grid. From there they can escape through large side sole openings. Your feet stay cool, dry and comfortable even at higher temperatures.
Eva - Compression
Standard compression molded EVA midsoles provide durability and reactivity on soft ground where the need for shock absorption is reduced. The La Sportiva Mountain Running® footwear adopts 3 different kind of midsoles depending on the style and on the needed performances.
Ortholite Hybrid
The models use the exclusive eco-friendly La Sportiva insoles by OrthoLite® Hybrid, made using 20% recycled material from the production process. These insoles are designed for both men’s and women’s feet and the thicknesses and materials differ to suit the weight of the average user. Eco-friendly and washable: they contain recycled rubber and are machine-washable. Maximum wearing comfort thanks to the insole ventilation and the highly breathable PU foam cells: the foot is always dry and kept at the perfect temperature. They facilitate the wicking of sweat thus keeping the foot dry. Enhanced durability thanks to the anti-compression technology which keeps material compression down to less than 5% over time.
Nano Cells 2.0
The La Sportiva Mountain Hiking line uses the exclusive Nano-Cells™ technology: breathable cells wrap around the uppers providing structure and allow humidity to be expelled during the dynamic phase.
