Aku Croda DFS GTX boots
Light, agile, precise and extremely comfortable
CRODA DFS GTX is a mountaineering shoe ideal for challenging climbing and trekking in a mixed environment with rock and ice. The Kevlar upper, combined with the Spider Frame over-injection, guarantees resistance to impact and abrasion and excellent freedom of movement. The Vibram Croda Litebase sole offers stability, grip and precision, even in the most technical situations, allowing the use of traditional or semi-automatic crampons. It adopts the AKU Elica Natural Stride System to promote biodynamic efficiency. The exclusive AKU Dual Fit System (DFS) technology allows you to vary the fit in walking & climbing mode by simply acting on the two different lacing systems, protected by an elastic cover that prevents snow and debris from entering the upper.

Technologies
IMS3
IMS1 is combined with an Exoskeleton construction in medium density polyurethane, which provides stability and protection, and an internal part in ultra-light polyurethane, which guarantees cushioning and high shock absorption and compressive strength.
GORE-TEX®
The GORE-TEX® membrane contains approximately 1.4 billion microscopic pores per square centimetre. These pores are approximately 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, but 700 times larger than a molecule of water vapour. Thus, while water droplets cannot penetrate the GORE-TEX® membrane, water vapour, i.e. sweat in gaseous form, escapes easily. For the footwear industry, GORE-TEX® has developed 3 specific types of laminates with specific functional properties.
Vibram®
The sole must copy the anatomical and helical shape of the bottom of the AKU lasts, in order to support and enhance their anatomical and dynamic characteristics. Other aspects to pay attention to are: the reliability which must be consistent with the use for which the shoe was designed and with a view to minimal waste of material and the search for simplicity of interface/assembly between the sole and the other components of the shoe.
Performance Fit
Slim and enveloping shapes for professional footwear in the Mountain segment, designed to promote precision and sensitivity when used when climbing on rock and ice. The heel has an anatomical shape designed to hold the foot and with the forefoot part which, without compromising precision at the toe, is more spacious and thus guarantees better warmth and blood circulation even during prolonged stops with the feet in the snow.
ELICA
Each shoe in the collection is developed taking into consideration the specific needs of shape and fit, which vary in relation to the different models and the function of use of the product. Each project is aimed at promoting the natural movement of the foot , allowing natural support and push, to offer optimal comfort when walking.
Dual Fit System
COMFORT WALK mode for the approach phase. PRECISE CLIMBING mode when rock climbing or via ferrata. In both cases, enhancing the specific functionality of the shoe.
